QUIKSILVER PRO G-LAND 2022 ODDS, PICKS, AND PREDICTIONS

QUIKSILVER PRO G-LAND 2022 ODDS, PICKS, AND PREDICTIONS

With the Australian leg and the inaugural mid-season cut done, the remaining 22 men and 12 women are heading to the Javanese jungle for the Quiksilver Pro. For the first time since 1997, the world’s best surfers will battle it out at the world-famous G-Land.

G-Land will also see the return of 3x World Champion Gabriel Medina as a wildcard. Find out below who will join Medina on our Top Picks list for the Quiksilver Pro G-Land.

The Quiksilver Pro G-Land waiting period opens on May 28 and runs through June 6.

FAVORITES
John John Florence
Odds:
4.00

John John Florence has been a permanent fixture on our picks list this season and the Hawaiian is also our favorite for this event. Florence, currently ranked No. 2 on the WSL Championship Tour, is yet to win an event in 2022. Will the Quiksilver Pro G-Land be where he claims his first win of the season? With a second-place recently at Margaret River, he is certainly carrying some momentum into the Quiksilver Pro G-Land.

Gabriel Medina
Odds:
4.50

The defending World Champion Gabriel Medina is back on tour. The Brazilian who decided to withdraw from the start of the 2022 WSL Championship Tour due to mental health reasons, has been awarded a wildcard for the back five events of 2022 as well as the first five events of 2023.

Even though Medina has not competed since September of last year, he does not look rusty, judging by his training sessions at Maresias earlier this month.

Italo Ferreira
Odds:
6.00

Third, on our list is Italo Ferreira. The 2019 World Champion has back-to-back fifth-place finishes in his last two events and is just like Florence hunting his first CT win of the season. The goofy-footed Brazilian currently ranked No. 5 on the WSL Championship Tour, definitely has the skills to give Florence and Medina a run for their money.
